Amber Riley, holds a special place in our hearts, being the soulful power house of New Directions! Although
Rachel, Kurt, Finn, and Santana are returning next year, Riley confirmed via Twitter last night, May 9th, that Mercedes’ role has now wrapped within the series, stating:

Dianna Agron’s character leaving too, however no statement has been confirmed. I think it’s sad to see Mercedes leave but we all know what Amber Riley is capable of. Hopefully, she’ll focus her free time on an upcoming album! Remember, even
